Hi! Here's a little bit of information about my family and me. I was born and educated in England. In 1983 I moved to Arlington, Texas, with my husband John, and our two young daughters. John began work in the geology department of the University of Texas. When my daughters were ready to begin preschool, I became interested in the Montessori method of education for both the girls and myself. I had teaching qualifications from the University of London, England, and decided to add Montessori teaching qualifications to my credentials. It's a decision I have not regretted. I taught for twelve years in a Montessori school, teaching children from ages two to nine. My daughters, Anna and Elanor, and later my son, John, have all attended Montessori schools.

In 1997 my family moved to Pullman, Washington. We love the climate and the friendly small town. It's a nice change from big city life. In 1998 I began teaching first grade at St. Mary's School. I like the friendly, caring feel of the school. It seems like an extended family. I like the emphasis on quality education and development of the whole child - physical, academic, social, emotional, spiritual and moral. I especially love the teaching of Language Arts. I hope to share my love of literature, poetry and drama with the children in my class. I welcome parents and visitors to my class. I hope you will visit us!

Apart from spending time with my family and teaching, I enjoy gardening, reading, writing and going for long walks with my dog, Jess. I'm an active member of Pullman Community Theatre. I'm editor of Franklin Elementary school's PTA newsletter and a board member of the Pullman Civic Trust. I feel as if I belong on the Palouse and hope to live here a long and happy time!
